EMAIL: November 12th

The MTC is seriously the greatest. Mi companera is Hermana Beard and she is so sweet and fantastic and she cries a lot (which we all knew would happen..right?) She thought it was really funny when I told her that my family said I would get a companion who cried a lot. This whole week has been a blur and I feel like I've lived at the MTC my whole life! Our district is fantastic. There are 7 Hermanas and we are all going to Argentina (5 to Comodoro(Hermana Beard, Hermana Burt, Hermana Card, Hermana Ming and myself), 2 to Mendosa(Hermana Pyper, and Hermana Zaugg))!! We were only going to be a district of sisters but then they added 2 elders to our group. They are SO quiet and awkward, but they are really nice. Then they added another elder who has been in the MTC for 9 WEEKS because he broke his wrist dunking in basketball, he speaks spanish fluently and is stuck with us newbies. We are so loud and hilarious. Our table laughs the most at lunch! I'm seriously so blessed to be with them! Also we are the only Hermanas in our zone, so that makes meals with our zone super interesting...and weird...they eat SO MUCH food and it's amazing, like I'm pretty sure we're setting Guiness records over here and no one even knows!

It's only been a week and I've already taught 5 lessons completely in Spanish to investigators!! I can more or less understand everything when I listen to people speak Spanish to me, but my vocabulary is limited so talking back is super interesting, and terrible and hilarious all at the same time. We have the sweetest teachers. Hermano Arce(he's from Mexico) who is the sweetest most geniune person I've ever met in my life, nothing makes him happier then when we understand something, he is so great!! and Hermano Figaroa( he's from Chile but he served in Argentina in Comodoro!!) he is so quiet and he'll just stand next to you and listen to what you're saying and he gets really pumped when you pronounce things correctly, but he laughs really hard when we struggle or joke. The thing that we say the most in class is "chiste" which means joke. We have the best time.

Here's some embarrassing/ funny things that happened: I thought that Hermana Beard was with me when we were coming back to our classroom but she stopped to look at a picture and I kept going so I walked in to class WITHOUT MY COMPANION. And Hermano Arce was all: Donde esta su companera?" and I was like "No se" and then everyone laughed at me and I had to back track and find her(she was still looking at the picture) bahahahaha. ALSO in one of our lessons with our investigator Anotonio he was telling us where he was reading in the book of mormon (cuz we had challenged him to read it) and he didn't have his with him and I was like "Oh, yo tengo un libro de mormon" and handed him my bible... WOOPS also one Elder tried to tell another Elder that he liked his tie (me gusta su corbata) and he said me gusta su cuerpo which means I like your body....bahahahahahah we all laughed SO HARD. We have so many good times here.

The MTC is like a spiritual boot camp/ mixed with a spa and like girls camp on steroids and I feel so lucky that I get to be here and feel the spirit and grow closer to Heavenly Father. It's amazing to witness so many miracles everyday! I can't wait to be out in the field, but the MTC is helping me SO much!! I know that I'm where I'm supposed to be and that Heavenly Father loves each of us SO much!! You know how Bishop said he wasn't sure why I needed to wait so long to come out? I'm pretty sure it's because I needed to be with the Sisters in my district! It was literally instant Sisterhood. We just support each other and make up for each others weaknesses so perfectly! There's honestly no way that it was a coincident that we all got here at the same time!
